USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT MARKS EARTH DAY WITH WEST BRANCH CEREMONY

EAST LANSING, April 17, 2009 – U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Acting Director for Michigan Frank Tuma will commemorate Earth Day by presenting a $16,820,000 ceremonial grant and loan check for sewer improvements to the West Branch Area Wastewater Treatment Plant Authority at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22, at West Branch City Hall, 121 N. 4th Street.

The events are open to the general public and everyone is welcome to attend. 

USDA Rural Development's mission is to deliver programs in a way that will support increasing economic opportunity and improve the quality of life of rural residents.
