USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT MARKS EARTH DAY WITH BLOOMINGDALE CEREMONY

EAST LANSING, April 12, 2007 – USDA Rural Development Director for Michigan Gene DeRossett will present a ceremonial loan and grant check for $6.4 million to Bloomingdale Area Utilities Authority Chairman Tom Rock and host an Earth Day tree planting on Friday, April 20, at 10 a.m. at Haven Park, 100 N. Van Buren St. in Bloomingdale.  

DeRossett will be joined by Bloomingdale Village President Sam Ewbank, Cheshire Township Supervisor Troy Tooker and Bloomingdale Township Supervisor David Bly at the event, which commemorates the announcement of a new sewer project to improve local water quality.

The event is open to the general public and everyone is welcome to attend.
