USDA ANNOUNCES $450,000 FOR VILLAGE OF HONOR SEWER SYSTEM EAST LANSING, Jan. 20, 2010 – U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development State Director for Michigan James J. Turner today announced a $450,000 ceremonial loan and grant check will be presented to the Village of Honor for sewer improvements at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 26, at the village office, located at 10922 Platte Road, in Honor. The event is open to the general public and everyone is welcome to attend. USDA Rural Development's mission is to deliver programs in a way that will support increasing economic opportunity and improve the quality of life of rural residents. As a venture capital entity, Rural Development provides equity, liquidity, and technical assistance to finance and foster growth in homeownership, business development, and critical community and technology infrastructure.
