HUDSON TOWNSHIP RECEIVES TWO FIRE TRUCKS FROM USDA

EAST LANSING, Aug. 23, 2008 – U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Director for Michigan Gene DeRossett today presented a $360,000 ceremonial check for two fire trucks to Hudson Township.

“These vehicles will enhance public safety and improve the quality of life for Hudson Township residents,” DeRossett said.  “USDA Rural Development is proud to make this investment in rural Michigan.”

The money consists of a $320,000 loan and $40,000 grant.  The vehicles are a 1,250-gallon CFS pumper and a 2,000-gallon tanker and were showcased at the ceremony.
