“USDA Rural
Development is proud to partner with Kingsley on this new library,” said
Acting State Director Frank Tuma. “I congratulate local residents on
their strong support for this project.”
The 8,231 square foot
facility will serve more than 1,400 rural residents and provides space
for participation in the Traverse Area District Library programs. The
Rural Development loan was supplemented by $350,000 in local funds.
USDA Rural
Development's mission is to deliver programs in a way that will support
increasing economic opportunity and improve the quality of life of rural
