USDA ANNOUNCES $64,000 FOR LAKE COUNTY POLICE VEHICLES
EAST LANSING, Jan. 21, 2010 – U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development State Director for Michigan James J. Turner today announced a $64,000 ceremonial grant check will be presented to Lake County at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27, at the Lake County Office located at 1153 North Michigan Ave., in Baldwin.
The event is open to the general public and everyone is welcome to attend.
USDA Rural Development's mission is to deliver programs in a way that will support increasing economic opportunity and improve the quality of life of rural residents. As a venture capital entity, Rural Development provides equity, liquidity, and technical assistance to finance and foster growth in homeownership, business development, and critical community and technology infrastructure.
