Contact: Alec Lloyd USDA Rural Development Announces $450,000 for Lee Township Fire Station EAST LANSING, Aug. 10, 2011 – USDA Rural Development State Director for Michigan James Turner today announced a groundbreaking ceremony for Lee Township’s fire station at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 16 at 5415 109th Avenue in Pullman (the northwest corner of the intersection of 109th and Beech Street). The event is open to the general public and everyone is welcome to attend. USDA, through its Rural Development mission area, administers and manages housing, business and community infrastructure and facility programs through a national network of state and local offices. Rural Development has an existing portfolio of more than $150 billion in loans and loan guarantees. These programs are designed to improve the economic stability of rural communities, businesses, residents, farmers and ranchers and improve the quality of life in rural America.
