USDA ANNOUNCES $14.26 MILLION FOR LEE TOWNSHIP WATER PROJECT EAST LANSING, Nov. 12, 2008 – U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Director for Michigan Gene DeRossett will present a $14.26 million ceremonial loan check to Midland County for a water distribution system to serve Lee Township at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19, at the Lee Township Hall, 1485 W. Olson Road, in Midland. The event is open to the general public and everyone is welcome to attend. USDA Rural Development's mission is to deliver programs in a way that will support increasing economic opportunity and improve the quality of life of rural residents. As a venture capital entity, Rural Development provides equity, liquidity, and technical assistance to finance and foster growth in homeownership, business development, and critical community and technology infrastructure.
