MAYVILLE RECEIVES $1.7 MILLION FOR WATER TREATMENT FACILITY

EAST LANSING, Aug. 1, 2007 – USDA Rural Development Director for Michigan Gene DeRossett will participate in a groundbreaking ceremony for a water treatment facility on Tuesday, Aug. 7 at 11 a.m. at the corner of First and Mill streets in the Village of Mayville.  The project will cost $1,712,000 and is funded through a loan from USDA Rural Development.

The event is open to the general public and everyone is welcome to attend.

USDA Rural Development's mission is to deliver programs in a way that will support increasing economic opportunity and improve the quality of life of rural residents. As a venture capital entity, Rural Development provides equity, liquidity, and technical assistance to finance and foster growth in homeownership, business development, and critical community and technology infrastructure.
