of Agriculture • Rural Development USDA ANNOUNCES $343,096 FOR MERCY HEALTH PARTNERS – LAKESHORE CAMPUS EAST LANSING, April 18, 2008 – USDA Rural Development Director for Michigan Gene DeRossett will present a ceremonial $343,096 telemedicine grant check on Friday, April 25 at 1 p.m. to Mercy Health Partners – Lakeshore Campus, located at 72 S. State St., in Shelby. The money will help pay for a Picture Archiving Communication System, which will allow MHPLC to share diagnostic images with other medical facilities, improving the access of area residents to top-quality health care. The event is open to the general public and everyone is welcome to attend. USDA Rural Development's mission is to deliver programs in a way that will support increasing economic opportunity and improve the quality of life of rural residents.
