of Agriculture Rural Development Contact: Alec Lloyd (517) 324-5204 USDA ANNOUNCES LOAN AND GRANT WORKSHOP WITH CONGRESSWOMAN CANDICE MILLER EAST LANSING, Oct. 3, 2007 USDA Rural Development Director for Michigan Gene DeRossett today announced a free loan and grant workshop for rural communities will take place from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday, Oct. 22, at the Lapeer County Health Department, 1800 Imlay City Rd., in Lapeer. The event is sponsored by Congresswoman Candice Miller and will feature experts in a wide array of Rural Development programs. The workshop is geared to rural local planning officials, township supervisors, police, fire, educators, housing organizations and other non-profit organizations.
