Contact: Alec Lloyd USDA ANNOUNCES $100,000 FOR MISSAUKEE CONSERVATION DISTRICT EAST LANSING, Feb. 3, 2010 – U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development State Director for Michigan James J. Turner today announced a $100,000 ceremonial grant check for solid waste management will be presented to the Missaukee Conservation District on Monday, Feb. 8 at 5:30 p.m. at the Timber Wolf Lake Camp located at 4909 N. Morey Road in Lake City. The event is open to the general public and everyone is welcome to attend. USDA Rural Development's mission is to deliver programs in a way that will support increasing economic opportunity and improve the quality of life of rural residents. As a venture capital entity, Rural Development provides equity, liquidity, and technical assistance to finance and foster growth in homeownership, business development, and critical community and technology infrastructure.
