Contact: Alec Lloyd USDA Rural Development Announces $3 million for Morton Township Library Expansion EAST LANSING, May 11, 2011 – USDA Rural Development State Director for Michigan James Turner today announced a groundbreaking ceremony for the Morton Township library expansion at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 16 at 110 South James Street, in Mecosta. The event is open to the general public and everyone is welcome to attend. USDA, through its Rural Development mission area, administers and manages more than 40 housing, business and community infrastructure and facility programs through a network of 6,100 employees located in Washington, D.C, and 500 state and local offices. These programs are designed to improve the economic stability of rural communities, businesses, residents, farmers and ranchers and improve the quality of life in rural America.
