USDA Rural Development Announces 2011 Michigan Rural Business Enterprise Grant Recipients

            EAST LANSING, Aug. 8, 2011 – U.S. Dept. of Agriculture Rural Development today announced more than $1.2 million to foster business growth in rural communities under the Rural Business Enterprise Grant program.

            The RBEG program helps to finance and facilitate the development of new and existing businesses in rural America. Funds can be used for start-up and working capital loans, building and plant renovations, transportation improvements, project planning and other business needs. All awards are grants unless otherwise noted.  Funding of each recipient is contingent upon the recipient meeting the conditions of the grant agreement.
