of Agriculture • Rural Development Contact: Alec Lloyd (517) 324-5204 RICHFIELD TOWNSHIP TO RECEIVE POLICE VEHICLE EAST LANSING, May 21, 2007 – USDA Rural Development Director for Michigan Gene DeRossett will present a $46,000 ceremonial grant check to Richfield Township Supervisor Richard Wood on Friday, May 25th at 10:30 a.m. at the Richfield Township Hall, 1410 N. M-76 in St. Helen. The money will be used to purchase a police vehicle and back-up generator. The event is open to the general public and everyone is welcome to attend. USDA Rural Development's mission is to deliver programs in a way that will support increasing economic opportunity and improve the quality of life of rural residents. As a venture capital entity, Rural Development provides equity, liquidity, and technical assistance to finance and foster growth in homeownership, business development, and critical community and technology infrastructure.
