Contact: Alec Lloyd USDA Rural Development Announces Willow Haven Apartments Open House EAST LANSING, Oct. 26, 2011 U.S. Dept. of Agriculture Rural Development State Director for Michigan James J. Turner today announced a ribbon cutting and open house for the newly renovated Willow Haven Apartments on Wednesday, Nov. 2, at 11 a.m. at 815 S. Bridge St., in Linden. The event is open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend. Formerly known as Gateway Manor, USDA Rural Development financed the original construction in 1985. USDA, through its Rural Development mission area, administers and manages housing, business and community infrastructure and facility programs through a national network of state and local offices. These programs are designed to improve the economic stability of rural communities, businesses, residents, farmers and ranchers and improve the quality of life in rural America. Rural Development has an existing portfolio of more than $150 billion in loans and loan guarantees.
