USDA ANNOUNCES $10.4 MILLION FOR CASS COUNTY SEWER UPGRADES EAST LANSING, Oct. 16, 2008 – U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Director for Michigan Gene DeRossett will present a $10.4 million ceremonial loan and grant check to Cass County for sewer improvements at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 21, in room 210 of the County Building, 120 N. Broadway, in Cassopolis. The event is open to the general public and everyone is welcome to attend. USDA Rural Development's mission is to deliver programs in a way that will support increasing economic opportunity and improve the quality of life of rural residents. As a venture capital entity, Rural Development provides equity, liquidity, and technical assistance to finance and foster growth in homeownership, business development, and critical community and technology infrastructure.
