USDA SUPPORTS CLARENDON GLEN APARTMENT REHAB

 EAST LANSING, Sept. 12, 2008 – U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Director for Michigan Gene DeRossett today presented a $674,482.67 ceremonial loan check at the open house for the newly refurbished Clarendon Glen Apartments in Clare. 

“USDA Rural Development has a strong commitment to quality housing,” DeRossett said.  “This is an investment in better living standards for Clare County residents.”

Clarendon Glen Apartments is a 24-unit property acquired by TJ Clarendon Glen LP in October 2007.  Last year, USDA Rural Development provided more than $24 million in grants, loans and loan guarantee to improve housing for low and very low income rural residents in Michigan.
