USDA ANNOUNCES GRANT AND WORKSHOP WITH CONGRESSWOMAN CANDICE MILLER
EAST LANSING, Oct. 23, 2007 USDA Rural Development Director for Michigan Gene DeRossett today announced a free loan and grant workshop for rural communities will take place from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday, Oct. 29, in County Conference Room B of the Michigan State University Extension office, 37 Austin St., in Sandusky.
Following the meeting, DeRossett will present a ceremonial $50,000 Rural Business Opportunity Grant check to the Sanilac Economic Alliance.
The event is sponsored by Congresswoman Candice Miller and will feature experts in a wide array of Rural Development programs. The workshop is geared to rural local planning officials, township supervisors, police, fire, educators, housing organizations and other non-profit organizations.
