2005 NRDP & PRA Meeting
August 21-22, 2005
Omni-Shoreham Hotel

The National Rural Development Partners (NRDP) and  Partners for Rural America (PRA) is sponsoring a two day meeting August 21-22, 2005, at the Omni-Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C.

The second day is set aside for a series of strategy sessions with State Rural Development Councils (SRDCs) regarding the direction of the National Rural Development Partnership.  As part of this process, we are planning to invite and engage National Rural Development Coordinating Committee’s nominated participants (Federal agencies) to engage them in a dialogue regarding the role of SRDCs in future NRDCC activities.  This conference is slightly different than those we’ve held in the past in that the schedule has been structured to be flexible and conducive to more meaningful discussions regarding the future direction of the Partnership and subsequent next steps.

We have scheduled the NRDP meetings to coincide with the National Rural Community Assistance Program (RCAP) conference, which will take place on August 22-25 at the Omni-Shoreham Hotel.  RCAP has an excellent agenda planned covering a wide range of rural-related topics that you will find useful in your work as a Council.
