Business and Industry Loans

Business and Industry (B&I) Loan Guarantees --
A central objective of USDA Rural Development is to participate in the improvement, development, or financing of business and industry, and to improve the employment and economic climate in rural communities. This objective is achieved through bolstering the existing private credit structure by providing up to 80% guarantees on quality loans which will provide lasting job creation and/or community benefits. It is not intended that the guarantee authority be used for marginal or substandard loans or to "bail out" lenders having such loans.

Intermediary Relending Program
-- These loans enable USDA Rural Development to finance business facilities and community development projects in communities of 25,000 or less. This is achieved through loans made by USDA Rural Development to nonprofit intermediaries, which in turn provide loans to businesses in a rural area. USDA Rural Development has made loans totaling $4.8 million to the Rural Nevada Development Corporation to deliver these services to rural businesses.  Visit the RNDC website at  http://www.rndcnv.org/ or call 775-289-8519.
