Farm Labor Housing Direct Loan and Grant Program

Purpose: What is the Program's Goal?
Develop and repair group housing projects for farm workers and migrant laborers.

Program Type: How does it work?
USDA Rural Development makes loans (some grants) for labor housing.

Eligible Applicants: Who can apply?
Non-profits, public bodies (e.g., housing authorities), and farmers.

Eligible Areas:
Must serve farm labor.

Authorized Purposes: What can funds be used for?
Develop new or buy and renovate existing farm labor housing projects.

Typical Amount of Assistance:
$1,000,000-$2,000,000.

Rates & Terms (rates subject to change):
1% fixed; 33 years.

Once-a-year
