Infrastructure for Nevada Communities (INC) USDA Rural Development was a founding member of Infrastructure for Nevada Communities (INC), a network of those agencies which finance, regulate, and/or provide technical assistance to rural communities and utilities addressing water, sewer, or solid waste challenges. The purpose of INC is to bring to one place those individuals with knowledge and expertise in rural utilities and enable them to communicate and collaborate on behalf of rural systems needing assistance. The goal of INC is to ensure that adequate financial and technical assistance and capacity building resources are available to create sustainable rural utility systems.
INC members recently collaborated to produce a standardized Request For Proposals (RFP) format that guides those communities or utilities contracting for engineering services in communicating their scope of work and selecting professional services appropriate for the challenge they are facing.
Any community facing an infrastructure challenge and not knowing where to begin, or looking for ideas for funding and assistance is encouraged to contact an INC member. INC is facilitated by the Rural Community Assistance Corporation (RCAC).
