Rural Business-Cooperative Programs is developing plans to provide
non-financial business advice and assistance to businesses and cooperative
enterprises interested in applying for RBP financial assistance. This
assistance will include how to complete application forms, acceptable
standards for business plans to be used for RBP financing, methods of
feasibility analysis, industry statistics, and financial standards generally
required by lenders.
Rural Development will collaborate and partner with
The Small Business Administration (SBA), Farmer Mac, Community Colleges and other educational institutions, non-profits and other
State and local organizations possessing ability to provide business
development assistance. The emphasis will be to provide non-financial
technical assistance to enterprises unable to meet standard criteria for RBP
loans and guarantees and improve their ability to qualify for RBS loans and
guarantees.
More information about technical assistance can be obtained by
contacting Dave Schermerhorn, RBP
Program Director at (315) 477-6425.
