Welcome to Rural Development’s Ohio web page. Our mission is to help improve the economic strength and quality of life for rural Ohioans. We do this by providing financial assistance through numerous programs that help meet housing needs, help encourage business development, and fund community infrastructure improvements (water, sewer, healthcare).
Our financial assistance programs include loan, grant and combination loan/grant opportunities. During Fiscal Year 2008, Rural Development invested more than $424 million throughout the state to help more rural Ohioans become homeowners, start and sustain business ventures that helped create and retain Ohio jobs, and helped provide communities with vital water and sewer services.
