Eligible "Rural" Areas -- Business Programs

RD Business and Cooperative Program assistance is designed to assist rural businesses and rural entrepreneurs. Each RD program has its own definition of "rural" which guides its availability. Non-rural projects are typically ineligible.

Effective September 28, 2009, the following Oregon communities have been reclassified as "rural" and therefore eligible for most RD business programs:
Cornelius, Forest Grove, and Talent, OR

Effective April 2, 2009, the following Oregon communities have been reclassified as "rural" and therefore eligible for most RD business programs:
Ashland, Jacksonville, White City, Coburg, Turner, Butteville, Wilsonville, Boring, and Pleasant Home, OR

Maps of Oregon Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSA's) - these areas are generally ineligible for RD Business Programs assistance
