Telecommunications & Broadband Programs

Celebrating 60 Years of USDA and Rural Telecommunications

We build cooperative financial partnerships with rural Oregonians. USDA Rural Development's Telecommunications programs and Rural Broadband programs are administered by the Rural Utilities Service (RUS) division of the agency. These programs include Broadband Loans; Community Connect Grants: Distance Learning & Telemedicine; Rural Public TV; and Rural Telephone Bank. All of these programs are delivered from RD's National Headquarters via a network of "General Field Representatives" (GFR's) who serve as local contacts.
