2000 Annual Report Executive Summary
Four Corners Enterprise Community (4CEC)
The 4CEC obtained 501(c)(3) status. The 4CEC secured approximately $12,675,000 in commitments to complete the first 20 active benchmarks, thus leveraging SSBG EC/EZ funds by more than 25 to 1. Three of the 20 benchmarked projects were completed during the year.
The fabric of 4CEC partnerships and alliances continues to serve the organization well, particularly the successful working relationship between the Upper Village of Moenkopi of the Hopi Nation, the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe and the Navajo Nation.
After many months of searching, an appropriate Executive Director for the 4CEC was hired on December 26, 2000. The Board of Directors is now anticipating even greater progress on the benchmarks with the presence of the new Executive Director.
