By being an inclusive, active community partner TINCDC’s outreach to the other community development organizations within Enterprise Community has shown itself as an invaluable tool to foster partnerships. Our organizations strength is enhanced by the development of a strong web of these community partners. Furthermore, the involvement of our board and staff with other civic organizations has lent itself to establishing a reputation that our organization is a knowledgeable and helpful partner. Tri-County Indian Nations’ Board of Directors and staff have realigned its’ 20+ community benchmarks to more actively reflect the communities needs. TINCDC believes that without thoughtful planning the resources and time of our organization will not be fully utilized. As staff is hired and resources secured TINCDC foresees itself as a key community development agency in the immediate future. 2001 will be a year that TINCDC will need to overcome the obstacles of funding sources and committee participation. New, innovative approaches, such as the development of ‘Territorial Marshals’, and the implementation of technology will help facilitate the growth of our organization in the future. As committees are formalized and activities initiated by thoughtful planning are set forth, TINCDC will find the groundwork laid in 2000, by the visibility of our organization and the outreach fostered by our inclusive nature, will create marketable improvements in the community health of the area we so humbly and proudly serve.
