I am fairly new to the commissioners position and did not know the details about a Champion Community until a recent meeting with Janie Dunning. The information I acquired from that meeting and from the upcoming benchmark training session will hopefully make our Champion Community much more active. It is the intention of the Commissioners to hold a committee meeting in the near future to evaluate our current benchmarks. We anticipate revising some of the benchmarks to meet our current needs. This is a learning process for us since our current benchmarks were set by a different commission. We understand the value of being a Champion Community and will do our best to get current and meet any future guidelines.
