City of Palatka and
Putnam County Champion Community
Phase I of the development of a new business/industrial park is near completion. The community was able to obtain several grants to assist in the funding of the water and sewer extension, the access road to the park. New housing for the elderly was constructed and they are being relocated from the housing on the riverfront and permission for HUD has been obtained to demolish the hold housing on the riverfront. The City of Palatka intends to market this entire block to a private developer for the construction of a marina and related commercial facilities.
