2003 Annual Report Executive Summary
Tri-County Indian Nations Enterprise Community
Tri-County Indian Nations Community Development Corporation (TINCDC) is the lead entity of the federally designated Enterprise Community, established in 1998 as a part of the national rural development program administered through USDA. The organization serves seven census tracts within a three county area, which includes both the Chickasaw and Choctaw Nations.
TINCDC has realized several
significant accomplishments in 2003 including the groundbreaking for a Coal
County High-Tech Business Incubator; the RBEG award of $449,000 to build a
Business Incubator in Pontotoc County for a new business start-up; the grand
opening of the Linden-Ada affordable apartment housing complex in Pontotoc
County; the receipt of a HUD fund reservation award of $1,326,000 to construct
five group homes to provide residence for 20 adults with developmental
disabilities in Pontotoc County; the HRSA award of $565,750 for a Community
Health Center in Johnston County; and the RBEG award of $373,410 to construct a
300,000 gallon water tower in the Johnston County Industrial Park in Tishomingo.
Still, there is much to accomplish. TINCDC will continue to build on past successes as we strive to create new partnerships, and to introduce new initiatives in order to accomplish the goals of the communities we serve.
