Fort Peck Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes Enterprise Community
The Fort Peck Enterprise Community (EC) enjoyed its most successful year yet in the areas of business development, cultural activities and progress in building wellness centers. The EC capitalized a start-up information technology company in Wolf Point. The Lewis & Clark Trail Celebration arrived, the first in Montana, with local artisans, singers and dancers providing Assiniboine and Sioux elements to the event, and was hugely successful. Tribal Elections, a new dentist and community revitalization projects headlined a busy year. The EC worked with the Tribes on their economic development projects. The community wellness centers continue to be a priority and progress was made with MOU's and funding proposals. The EC housed a Vista employee who was instrumental to community participation for a variety of activities. The EC developed a website, travel guide and assisted with a number of attractive signs that enrich our area.
