Oglala Sioux-Pine Ridge Empowerment Zone
In 2005, the Oglala Sioux-Pine Ridge EZ (OOW EZ) updated the online Benchmark Management System and its two-year strategic work plan. Most of the growth in our abilities and sustainability is coming from our work with the private sector in business development. To date, the OOW EZ benchmarks have contributed to the creation or retention of 492 jobs on the Reservation, not including the temporary jobs such as construction in the building of many different projects. We are pleased to report that to date our records indicate that approx $42M has been invested in EZ benchmark projects, of which, approximately $22M (48%) has come from non-federal sources
