Empowerment Alliance of SW Florida

The Empowerment Alliance of Southwest Florida (EASF) Community Development Corporation (CDC) has accomplished the following in 2007:

The EASF leveraged $2,024,295 in funding to provide programs and services and provided services to 333 individuals and families;
Between 1999 and 2007 the Empowerment Alliance has leveraged a total of $34,659,164 in grants and loans into the Enterprise Community;
Rehabilitated 10 homes and provided funding for emergency repairs for three families;
Provided homebuyer education for 225 individuals to educate them on the process of purchasing a home. Of those, 121 received one-on-one credit or homebuyer counseling, with 17 completing the process and ready to purchase a home.
Continued to build 26-unit subdivision; 20 homes completed; ? Continued engineering work on an 18 unit subdivision and purchased land for a new 60-unit subdivision;
Provided scholarships for 28 individuals to complete their vocational training, bringing the total served to 177;
The mission statement of the organization was revised to clearly reflect these focus areas. Mission Statement: “The Empowerment Alliance of Southwest Florida is dedicated to building better lives through homeownership and education.”
