Lift Station Renovation

Grant:    $700,000

Total:    $700,000

Outline of Need:

The lift stations in four tribal housing areas are in fair to moderate condition and in need of repair or replacement. In one case, sewage is actually being distributed on the ground.

How Rural Development Helped:

The targeted lift station sites include: Lake Andes, Marty, North Wagner, and Lawrence Township. Renovations include installing new submersible pumps, repairing or replacing control panels, trash basket and rail system replacements, installation of new crane, winch, and wet well interior will be coated to prevent further deterioration. Temporary piping and pumping will be required to provide continuous service while the wet well is taken off-line during the repairs.
