The Town of Jonesborough, the oldest town in Tennessee, is a living community restored to its 19th century look and offers a glimpse into two hundred years of history. This project will be funded with $5,700,000 in Rural Development funds and $1,400,000 from the Economic Development Administration. The entire project will consist of two water system improvement projects and three wastewater improvements projects. The total for these two projects will be $3,500,000, which include the $1,400,000 in Economic Development Administration funding. The third wastewater project will be to construct a new 15-inch interceptor sewer line.
