Grant: $930,000 |
Outline of Need: On the St. Croix Reservation the current private and tribal septic systems are failing and polluting area groundwater. |
How Rural Development Helped:
Rural Development funds would be used to construct a new wastewater transfer and treatment system on the St. Croix Reservation. This would consist of new sewer mains and a new wastewater treatment plant in the form of a sand filter system with wet land discharge.
The Results:
The new system would cease area ground water pollution and improve the quality of life for the 641 residents of the St. Croix Reservation.
