DISASTER RECOVERY GRANT RECIPIENTS


Arkansas -- $200,000, Arkansas Human Development Corporation
Funding will be used to provide supportive services.

California -- $9.1 million, California Employment Development Department
Funding will be used to: provide direct services (payment of food vouchers, rent, mortgage, utilities, school supplies, transportation); establish an estimated 200 temporary jobs (with government agencies or non-profit organizations); provide support for food banks (pantries and non-profit organizations that have delivered and will deliver food to farmworkers impacted by the freeze); and reimburse local resources exhausted by the freeze.

California -- $300,000, Family Health Care Network
Funding will be used to expand access to direct medical and dental care and to purchase medicine.

Florida -- $9.1 million, Florida Department of Community Affairs
Funding will be used to: provide housing facilities, including rental housing; establish a revolving loan fund for housing rehabilitation; and to establish a housing, education and training unit at a major correctional facility.

New Jersey -- $300,000, Rural Opportunities Inc.
Funding will be used to provide emergency food, shelter, transportation, rent and mortgage payments, credit counseling, and medical, mental health and child care services.

Ohio -- $400,000, Rural Opportunities Inc.
Funding will be used to provide travel assistance, food expenses, school supplies, lodging and relocation assistance.

Puerto Rico -- $600,000, Rural Opportunities Inc.
Funding will be used to construct replacement housing and repair damaged homes.
