Rebuild manufacturing plant - $450,000

The loan will assist the Brundidge Industrial Development Board (IDB) in financing the construction of a manufacturing facility in Brundidge, Pike County, Alabama. With full production at the new facility, Carter Brothers will be in a position to increase employment to 225 full-time workers within 2 years.

Upper Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation, South Carthage, Tennessee
Expand tubing manufacturing plant - $450,000

The loan will assist the Overstreet-Hughes Company, Inc. (OHC), in financing the expansion of its existing manufacturing plant located near South Carthage in Smith County, Tennessee. OHC presently employs 80 workers and expects to increase employment by 100 additional workers.

Canadian Valley Electric Cooperative, Inc., Seminole, Oklahoma
Expand walk-in freezer manufacturer - $450,000

The loan will assist Artic Temp, Inc. (Artic Temp), in financing the construction of a new manufacturing facility in Shawnee, Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma. Artic Temp currently employs 32 workers and will create 13 additional job opportunities as a result of its expansion.

High Plains Power, Inc., Riverton, Wyoming
Expand outdoor navigational gear manufacturer - $400,000

The loan will assist The Brunton Company (Brunton) in financing the construction of a new commercial office and manufacturing facility in Riverton, Fremont County, Wyoming. Brunton currently employs 70 workers and expects to create 37 additional job opportunities as a result of its expansion.

Kay Electric Cooperative, Blackwell, Oklahoma
Construct building for holiday lighting business - $100,000

The loan will assist Kay Holding Company, an Oklahoma corporation, in constructing a building addition to accommodate the expansion of its subsidiary business, Holiday Lighting Specialists (HLS), located in Kay County. HLS currently employs 14 full-time workers and plans to add 11 more job opportunities over the next 2-year period.

Consolidated Telephone Company, Brainerd, Minnesota
Equipment for grocery store - $400,000

The loan will assist Gosch's Store in financing the purchase of equipment for a new full- service supermarket in Randall, Morrison County, Minnesota. The store will employ approximately 14 full and part-time workers and will be the largest employer in the community.

Prairie Land Electric Cooperative, Inc., Norton, Kansas
Equipment for cabinet maker - $185,000

The loan will assist Creative Dimensions, Inc., in financing the purchase of a computer numerically controlled (CNC) router machine for its cabinet business located in Oberlin, Decatur County, Kansas. The expansion will require Creative Dimensions to add 10 additional employees. These new employees will be machine operators, assemblers, and finishers.

Wild Rice Electric Cooperative, Inc., Mahnomen, Minnesota
Purchase and remodel building for agronomy cooperative - $48,000

The loan will assist Triangle Agronomy Services, LLC (Triangle), a new business, in financing the acquisition and remodeling of a facility to serve as its corporate headquarters, sales, and service office. Due to the nature of the business, employment levels vary on a seasonal basis from a low of 19 employees to a high of 55 employees. Triangle expects to create 5 new full-time job opportunities at its new permanent site.

United Electric Cooperative, Inc., Maryville, Missouri
Construct county library - $100,000

The loan will assist the Worth County Partnership Library, Inc. (Partnership Library), a not-for-profit organization, in financing the construction of a library facility in Grant City, Worth County, Missouri. Two full-time staff positions will be created.

East-Central Iowa Rural Electric Cooperative, Urbana, Iowa
Establish soy-based adhesive manufacturing plant - $450,000

The loan will assist Heartland Resource Technologies, LLC (HRT), a new value-added agricultural business, in constructing a manufacturing plant to produce soy based adhesive (or resin) for the particleboard, furniture, and other markets. It is expected that the facility will provide 18 job opportunities by the third year of operation.

Jewell-Mitchell Cooperative Electric Co., Inc., Mankato, Kansas
Building addition for manufacturer of farm equipment - $108,000

The loan will assist Winkel Manufacturing, Inc. (Winkel), in financing the construction of a building for use in its business located in Glen Elder, Mitchell County, Kansas. The expansion will create five additional jobs in the area of metal worker and welder.

Southern Iowa Electric Cooperative, Inc., Bloomfield, Iowa
Establish stave manufacturing plant - $450,000

The loan will assist Seguin Moreau in financing the startup of a stave manufacturing plant in Bloomfield, Davis County, Iowa. The facility will employ 34 people.

Bluestem Electric Cooperative, Inc., Wamego, Kansas
Equipment for specialty food processor - $450,000

The loan will assist Grandma Hoerner's Foods, Inc. (GHFI), in financing equipment and facility improvements for its specialty food processing plant located in Alma, Wabaunsee County, Kansas. GHFI currently employs 14 workers and expects to create 5 new job opportunities as a result of the proposed expansion.

Baldwin Electric Membership Corporation, Summerdale, Alabama
Construct and equip a farm and garden supply center - $400,000

The loan will assist the Elberta Farmers Cooperative, Inc. (EFC), in financing the construction of a building and the purchase of equipment and furnishings for a new retail operation in Elberta, Baldwin County, Alabama. EFC presently employs 12 full-time and 2 part-time workers. The expansion is expected to add 9 full-time jobs.

United Electric Cooperative, Inc., DuBois, Pennsylvania
Purchase equipment for ammunition business - $100,000

The loan will assist SinterFire, Inc., an ammunition manufacturer, located in Elk County, Pennsylvania. SinterFire develops and sells powdered-metal bullet components for use in law enforcement training, competitive shooting, and military applications. SinterFire currently employs 10 workers, four additional job opportunities will be created as a result of the project.

Caddo Electric Cooperative, Inc., Binger, Oklahoma
Construct truck painting facility - $140,000

The loan will assist Hinton Truck and Trailer Paint (HTTP) in financing the construction of a 7,500 square foot building to house a truck and trailer painting facility in Hinton, Caddo County, Oklahoma. The startup phase of the project anticipates the hiring of four full-time employees.

Great Lakes Energy Cooperative, Inc., Newaygo, Michigan
Purchase snowmaking equipment for resort expansion - $415,000

The loan will assist Boyne USA, Inc. (Boyne), in financing an automated snowmaking system for use as part of the proposed expansion of Boyne Mountain Resort, Boyne Falls, Charlevoix County, Michigan. Boyne is one of the largest employers in the area with 488 employees.

The S&T Telephone Cooperative Association, Brewster, Kansas
Expand seed cleaning business - $240,000

The loan will assist Mattson Farms in expanding its certified seed cleaning business located near the community of Levant in Thomas County, Kansas. Mattson Farms proposes to add four storage bins and additional seed handling equipment to aggressively address the sales opportunities in northwest Kansas. Mattson Farms also sells specialty seed. A conveyor system will be added under the four bulk bins that will allow the Mattson Farms to mix grain varieties according to a customer's wishes. Job creation for the project is three full-time and one seasonal part-time position.

EastCoast Telecom, Inc., Cleveland, Wisconsin
Construct water tower - $450,000

The loan will assist the Village of Valders, Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, in financing the construction of a 250,000-gallon elevated water storage tower and related facilities. The village's largest employer, a precast concrete products business that employs 145 full-time workers, has indicated its intention to expand and is dependent upon a reliable water source to meet its needs. The new tower is also needed to serve the new industrial park located in the village.

3 Rivers Telephone Cooperative, Inc., Fairfield, Montana
Renovate County Courthouse - $450,000

The loan will assist Teton County in financing the renovation and construction of the Teton County courthouse to meet accessibility requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and provide structural improvements and efficient space utilization. The courthouse is located in Choteau, Montana, and is the command center for the majority of county services and the office site of 31 county employees. If the courthouse cannot comply with the ADA requirements or the health and safety codes, service offices will have to be out-sourced to a neighboring county.

Garden Valley Telephone Company, Erskine, Minnesota
Purchase fire truck - $90,000

The loan will assist the City of Grygla (City) in financing the purchase of a new fire pumper truck to replace a truck that is 28 years old. The City fire department serves 14 townships in addition to the cities of Grygla and Gatzke in Marshall and Beltrami Counties in northwestern Minnesota. The purchase of a new modern truck will enable the City to provide adequate emergency service that is necessary for the community to compete for future economic development opportunities.

Mountrail-Williams Electric Cooperative, Williston, North Dakota
Establish large-scale dairy - $450,000

The loan will assist NorthWestern Dairy, LLLP (NorthWestern), in financing the construction costs and equipment purchases for the development of a 400-head dairy operation near Parshall in Mountrail County, North Dakota. Approximately 9 job opportunities will be created.

Adams-Columbia Electric Cooperative, Friendship, Wisconsin
Acquire industrial building for machining company - $240,000

The loan will assist Saelens Corporation (Saelens) in financing the purchase of a 21,600 square foot industrial building located in the Adams County Industrial Park in Preston, Adams County, Wisconsin. Saelens estimates that 21 new job opportunities will be created as a result of its expansion.

Construct sweet potato storage facility - $317,600

The loan will assist James Turner, II, in financing the construction of a 14,000 square foot sweet potato curing and storage facility in Belzoni, Humphreys County, Mississippi. The facility will employ 1 full-time and 1 part-time worker.

Loretel Sytems, Inc., Ada, Minnesota
Develop multi-cultural learning center - $359,340

The loan will assist the City of Pelican Rapids (City), Otter Tail County, Minnesota, in financing the development of a multi-cultural learning center. Currently, the local school district has a 25 percent minority enrollment that has 10 language groups including Albanian, Arabic, Bosnian, Cambodian, Kurdish, Laotian, Somali, Spanish, Sudanese, and Vietnamese. Immigrant families and students have impacted the demand for services. In addition to remodeled areas for traditional library resources and services, the new center will include new special use areas available for technology, audio-visual stations, interactive television access for meeting and educational opportunities, meeting room for functions or community meetings, and expanded staff workroom and storage areas.

Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative, Estherville, Iowa
Construct assisted living facility - $200,000

The grant will be used to enhance an existing revolving loan fund program. The initial loan will assist Ruthven Community Care Center, Inc. (RCCC), in financing construction of an assisted living facility in Ruthven, Palo Alto County, Iowa. The project will create 5 new employment opportunities in addition to retaining the 23 full-time and 22 part-time positions that already exist.

Freeborn-Mower Cooperative Services, Albert Lea, Minnesota
Construct business development center - $200,000

The grant will be used to establish a revolving loan fund program. The initial loan will be made to the Port Authority of Albert Lea, Freeborn County, to renovate a 41,000 square foot building and convert it into a business development and incubator center. The business development center, owned by the Port Authority, will be located in the NorthAire Industrial Park in Albert Lea. Several new businesses have expressed their interest in relocating to the business center. It is the center's plan to establish 10 new jobs each year.

Tombigbee Electric Cooperative, Inc., Guin, Alabama
Finance water and sewer main expansion - $200,000

The grant will be used to establish a revolving loan fund program. The initial loan will assist the Water Works and Sewer Board of the City of Winfield (City) in Marion County in financing the expansion of a sewer and water main to serve businesses locating in the community. The lack of adequate sewer and water infrastructure has been a deterrent for growth in Marion County. The project consists of constructing water pump stations, sewer lift stations, water tank, sewer mains, and water mains.

CMS Electric Cooperative, Inc., Meade, Kansas
Construct community center - $118,000

The grant will be used to establish a revolving loan fund program. The initial loan will assist the Fowler Senior Citizens, Inc. (FSC), a non-profit organization, in financing the construction of a community center in Fowler, Meade County, Kansas. Existing part-time jobs at the community center consist of an activities director and a bus driver for transportation services.
