USDA APPOINTS JEFF CONDREY TO HEAD RURAL DEVELOPMENT EFFORTS IN NEW MEXICO
WASHINGTON, August 16, 2002--The U.S. Department of Agriculture today appointed Jeff Condrey as the New Mexico State Director for USDA Rural Development.
Condrey, will lead a team of 58 employees dedicated to serving New Mexicos rural communities. Rural Development projects help spur economic growth and job creation thorough utility services, housing and public facility improvement loans and grants.
Condrey, from Santa Fe, N.M., has over the past 15 years worked in the field of economic and community development throughout the state of New Mexico. His experience includes serving as the director of the Local Government Division of the New Mexico Department of Finance and Administration, president of the Greater Gallup Community Development Corporation, and as City Manager for the City of Gallup, New Mexico.
Condrey received his Bachelor of Science degree in aviation management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, Florida.
USDA Rural Development serves as the lead federal entity for rural development needs and administers financial and technical assistance through three agencies: Rural Housing Service, Rural Business-Cooperative Service and Rural Utilities Service.
