Skagway Development Corporation, Skagway, Alaska -- $118,600 grant to establish a revolving loan program to assist new businesses and expand existing businesses.

Tanana Chiefs Conference, Inc., Southeast Fairbanks, Alaska -- $750,000 business re-lending loan. Funds will be used to assist with business development in areas serving Alaska Native Villages.


ARIZONA - $98,564

Nogales-Santa Cruz County Chamber of Commerce, Tubac, Ariz. -- $98,564 grant for the continued implementation of a regional plan for the development of rural area tourist centers.


ARKANSAS - $153,537

Southern Financial Partners, Inc., Arkadelphia, Ark. -- $153,537 grant to fund the development of a rural healthcare revolving loan fund to provide needed financial assistance to rural healthcare providers.


CALIFORNIA - $168,000

International Agri-Center, Tulare, Calif. -- $168,000 grant to conduct E-commerce training for small businesses.


DELAWARE - $175,000

Delaware Technical and Communityi College, Georgetown, Del. -- $175,000 grant to provide training for businesses involved in design, installation, and servicing of septic systems.


HAWAII - $53,000

Molokai Chamber of Commerce, Kaunakakai, Hawaii -- $53,000 grant for technical assistance in marketing to support business and economic development.


IDAHO - $50,000

City of Weippe, Weippe, Idaho -- $50,000 grant for a technology center, college outreach center, and small business incubator portion of the Weippe Discovery Center.


ILLINOIS - $258,260

Southern Illinois Research Part, Inc., Carbondale, Ill. -- $200,000 grant to construct a building and provide infrastructure for four businesses.

Interstate RC & D, New Boston, Ill. -- $58,260 grant to fund a feasibility study to re-establish ferry service across the Mississippi River.


IOWA - $99,000

Pocahontas County Economic Development Commission, Pocahontas, Iowa -- $99,000 grant to establish a revolving loan fund for the County of Pocahontas.


KENTUCKY - $699,000

Kentucky highlands Investment Corporation, London, Ky. -- $199,000 grant
to establish a revolving loan fund to assist new and expanding small businesses.

Green River Area Development District, Owensboro, Ky. -- $500,000 business re-lending loan. Funds will be used to establish a revolving loan fund that will assist in business development in western Kentucky including, four counties (Henderson, McLean, Union and Webster) located in the Mississippi Delta area.


MAINE - $45,000

Piscataquic County Economic Development Council, Dover Foxcroft, Maine --$45,000 grant to be used for marketing assistance for small artisan and craft businesses.


MASSACHUSETTS - $50,000

Nipmuc Indian Development Corporation, Webster, Mass. -- $50,000 grant to establish a revolving loan fund to support small business development.


MISSISSIPPI - $130,000

Noxubee County, Macon, Miss. -- $130,000 grant to improve and expand an existing farmer's market facility.


MISSOURI - $99,900

Missouri Soybean Association, Charleston, Mo. -- $99,900 grant for a feasibility study and business planning for Soyfood Manufacturing Facility.


MONTANA - $19,000

Montana State University, Norther, Chippewa Cree, Havre, Mont. -- $19,000 grant to facilitate the development of the Rocky Boy's Chippewa Cree Native Crafts Coop.


NEBRASKA - $164,600

Bassett/Rock County Chamber of Commerce, Bassett, Neb. -- $164,600 grant to establish a revolving loan fund in Rock County to help new, existing, and expanding businesses.


NEVADA - $124,300

Nevada MicroEnterprise Initiative, Reno, Nev. -- $124,300 grant for technical assistance and a revolving loan fund for low- and moderate-income individuals to start or expand businesses.


NEW HAMPSHIRE - $90,000

Economic Corporation of Newprt, Newport, N.H. -- $90,000 grant to purchase and install equipment fixtures for a new restaurant.


NEW JERSEY - $70,000

Wrightstown Borough, Wrightstown, N.J. -- $70,000 grant for technical assistance to fund economic development activities.


NEW MEXICO - $70,000

Women's Economic Self-Sufficiency Team, Albuquerque, N.M. -- $50,000 grant to provide Native American owned businesses with technical assistance, marketing training and access to E-Commerce.

Native American Lending Group, Inc., N.M. -- $20,000 business opportunity grant. Funds will be used to provide analysis of business potential within the eight northern pueblos of New Mexico.


NORTH DAKOTA - $200,000

Hazelton Industrial Development Corporation, Haselton, N.D. -- $200,000 grant to assist in financing the construction of an industrial mall.


OKLAHOMA - $199,000

City of Coalgate, Coalgate, Okla. -- $199,000 grant for the construction of a high-tech business incubator.


OREGON - $99,000

Enterprise Hometown Improvement Group, Enterprise, Ore. -- $99,000 grant for a comprehensive feasibility study and real estate appraisal to determine the economic, business, and environmental feasibility of the purchase, rehabilitation, and commercial development of the Enterprise Mercantile and Milling building.


PENNSYLVANIA - $150,000

Northwestern Pennsylvania Regional Planning and Development Commission, Oil City, Pa. -- $150,000 grant to perform a Travel Destination Development Plan for Northwest Pennsylvania.


SOUTH DAKOTA - $99,000

Black Hills Community Development, Inc., 6- County area in western S.D. -- $99,000 grant to create a revolving fund and technical assistance for new and existing businesses.


TENNESSEE - $1,603,000

Hickman County Economic and Community Development Association, Centerville, Tenn. -- $99,500 grant for a downtown revitalization initiative in Centerville.

Northwest Tennessee Certified Development Corporation, Martin, Tenn. -- $750,000 business re-lending loan. Funds will be used to re-capitalize the recipient’s existing revolving loan fund.

Southwest Tennessee Development District, Jackson, Tenn. -- $750,000 business re-lending loan. Funds will be used to re-capitalize the recipient’s existing revolving loan fund.

Tiptonville Main Street Association, Tiptonville, Tenn. -- $3,500 business opportunity grant. Funds will be used to establish a business development class for employees of area businesses, industries, and organizations. The classes will specialize in management and leadership courses.

 

UTAH - $93,800

Southeast Applied Technology College/College of Eastern Utah, Blanding, Utah -- $93,800 grant to purchase a truck driving simulator for the Southeast Applied Technology College Truck Driving Program.

 

VERMONT - $99,500

Vermont Maple Sugar Makers' Association, Inc, Vt. -- $99,500 grant to conduct a market research and provide technical assistance to Vermont maple sugar producers.


VIRGINIA - $198,958

Green Thumb, Inc., Arlington, Va. -- $99,958 grant to offer an E-Commerce Internet web site and technical training for rural seniors to market hand-crafted items.

Town of Grundy, Grundy, Va. -- $99,000 grant for the purchase of wireless communications equipment to bring IT service to rural areas.


WEST VIRGINIA - $153,536

Greenbrier Valley Economic Development Corporation, Lewisburg, W.Va. -- $153,536 grant to establish a revolving loan fund to assist small and emerging businesses in Greenbrier, Pocahontas, and Monroe Counties.
WASHINGTON - $466,468

The Suquamish Tribe, Port Madison Reservation, Wash. -- $466,468 grant to improve economic conditions on the Port Madison Reservation.


WISCONSIN - $21,600

Forward Lancaster, Inc., Lancaster, Wis. -- $21,600 grant to provide technical assistance to existing and new businesses.
