Rural Business - Cooperative
Development Programs

The Rural Business-Cooperative Service (RBS) provides services to business-related concerns. There are several different programs through which businesses are able to obtain financial loans, guarantees, or grants.
  • Rural Business Programs provide loans and grants to:
    • Financing Working Capital
    • Real Construction or Expansion
    • Purchase Equipment
    • Stock Aquisition for Cooperatives
    • Establish a Revolving Loan Fund
    • Business Incubator Facility
    • Technical Assitance for Private Business
    • Industrial Park Improvements
    • Technical Assistance for Cooperative Development
    • Economic Development Planning

The cooperative services program of the Rural Business Service helps rural residents form new cooperative businesses and improve the operations of existing cooperatives. To accomplish this, cooperative programs provide technical assistance, conduct cooperative related research, and produce information products to promote public understanding of cooperatives.
