Community Facility Grant Provided to
Saunders Volunteer Fire Department
On July 14, 2008,
Congressman Virgil Goode and Rural Development State Director, Ellen
Davis provided the Saunders Volunteer Fire Department with a
ceremonial big check for a $50,000 CF Grant.
Along with funds provided by the County of Bedford and funds from
the fire company, a new state-of-the-art pumper truck was purchased.
The new truck will provide the rural citizens of the surrounding
town of Huddleston with improved fire safety. |
