Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) - Section 9007

(Formerly Rural Energy/Energy Efficiency Program, Section 9006)
 

REAP increases energy independence. Through REAP, grant and loan funds are available to finance a range of energy production and conservation projects. These include renewable energy systems, energy efficiency improvements, feasibility studies, energy audits and renewable energy development assistance. The following is a summary of the financing available for each project type, and information about how to apply for financing.

Please submit all applications to Area Business Specialists listed below under "Contact".  Submitting applications through www.grants.gov does not permit an application review before the deadline.  This may impact your final review and score.

Type of project Renewable Energy Systems Energy Efficiency Improvements Feasibility Studies Energy Audits & Renewable Energy Development Assistance
Definition A project that produces energy from wind, solar, biomass, geothermal, hydro power, and/or hydrogen sources A project that increases energy efficiency. The State Architect works in coordination with specific program staff, applicant development teams, owners, and other concerned parties to develop and service projects funded by USDA Rural Development.
