Native American Projects
USDA Rural Development places
special emphasis on outreach and relationship building with the 29
Federally Recognized Native American Tribes in Washington State.
USDA Rural Development is making great strides on partnering with
tribal communities in Washington State, both in terms of project
implementation and community development. Washington tribes benefit
greatly from their partnership with USDA Rural Development, sharing
with our Native American partners the same goal of improving the
quality of life and the economic development for Native Americans.
Over $45.5 million
has been awarded to Native American tribes in Washington State over
the past five years for housing, community facilities, business,
utilities, and broadband program related projects. The
partnerships which developed as a result of USDA Rural Development’s
investment in these projects will provide lasting benefit for all
tribes and rural communities USDA Rural Development assists in the
future.
