Water & Waste Disposal Loans & Grants

Loans/grants made by USDA Rural Development to public bodies, not for profit
entities or Indian tribes to finance needed public water and waste facilities.
Limited to communities of 10,000 population or less.
Water & Waste Guaranteed Loans - Loans Guaranteed by USDA Rural Development to public bodies, not for profit
entities or Indian tribes to finance needed public water and waste facilities.
Limited to communities of 10,000 population or less.
Solid Waste Management
Grants - Grants made by USDA Rural Development to public bodies, not for profit entities
or Indian tribes to reduce/eliminate pollution of water resources or improve
planning and management of solid waste sites. Limited to communities of 10,000
population or less.
Technical Assistance and Training Grants
- Grants are made to private nonprofit organizations that have been granted tax
exempt status by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Grant funds may be used to
provide assistance to existing water and water disposal facilities, assist
applicants in preparing applications for water and waste water disposal
problems. All must be located in rural areas.
